Path 2: Supplemental Information For Your
Unique Path of Creativity and Prosperity
There
is a ton of information suggesting the roadmap to
creativity, abundance, prosperity, peace, happiness,
etc. Spirit Expressing is a Unity Church founded
program and Unity was started by Charles and Myrtle
Fillmore. Charles wrote a book titled "Prosperity".
Edwene Gaines, a Unity minister, wrote the book The
Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity - A Simple Guide
To Unlimited Abundance. If you ever was in the same
church as Edwene and heard her speak you know you
will enjoy her book.
Each of us probably has a favorite
author or a couple of them on the topic of
creativity and prosperity. I know I have mine and
they are surrounding me as I write this page. Since
this information needs to be in the hands of my
group in about 36 hours, I decided to pick just of
those books. One that I have found is a terrific
resource on these topics. That book is The Seven
Spiritual Laws of Success - A Practical Guide To The
Fulfillment of Your Dreams by Deepak Chopra. Anthony
Robbins writes "Of all Deepak's books, The Seven
Spiritual Laws of Success gives a profound outline
for conducting one's life at the highest and most
integrated level. It is magnificent.
Personally I have a lot of respect for Tony Robbins
and after studying Deepak's book I agreed with what
Tony wrote so that is the book I picked. Imagine
that 7 Paths to God and 7 Spiritual Laws. You know
something I didn't even think about that until I was
writing the paragraph above.
What are the Seven Spiritual Laws of
Success?
The Law of Pure Potentiality
The Law of Giving
The Law of Karma or Cause and Effect
The Law of Least Effort
The Law of Intention and Desire
The Law of Detachment
The Law of Dharma or Purpose In Life
Before we look a little closer at
these seven laws, what is the definition of success.
Deepak quiets the storm of a lively debate on the
answer to this question with this: "success is the
ability to fulfill your desires with effortless
ease". I like that so let's go with it. After
all, my desires are different from yours but we all
have a pretty good idea of what effortless ease
means.
A couple other foundation points.
" All of creation, everything that exits in the
physical world is the result of the unmanifest
transforming itself into manifest."
" The source of all creation is divinity (spirit )
the process of creation is divinity in motion (or
the mind) and the object of creation is the physical
universe (which includes the physical body) These
three components of reality - spirit, mind and body
or observer, the process of observing and the
observed - are essentially the same thing. They all
come from the same place the field of pure
potentiality"
"The physical laws of the universe
are actually this whole process of divinity in
motion or consciousness in motion. When we
understand these laws and apply them in our lives,
anything we want can be created, because the same
laws that nature uses to create a forest, or a
galaxy or a star or a human body can also bring
about the fulfillment of our deepest desires"
A brief look at each of The Seven
Spiritual Laws of Success - please note there is no
way for you to appreciate the message in this book
without owning and studying the book. It is 111
pages, double spaced, large print. Amazing!
The Law of Pure Potentiality
" Pure consciousness is pure potentiality; it is
the field of all possibilities and infinite
creativity. Pure consciousness is our spiritual
essence. Being infinite and unbounded, it is also
pure joy. Other attributes of consciousness are pure
knowledge, infinite silence, perfect balance,
invincibility, simplicity, and bliss. This is our
nature. Our essential nature is one of pure
potentiality."
"One way to reach the field is the
daily practice of silence meditation and
non-judgment."
The Law of Giving
(Deepak acknowledges this chapter should be named
The Law of Giving and Receiving)
Everything in the Universe operates through
dynamic exchange. If you want abundance, give
abundance; if you want love, give love; if you want
joy, give joy; the more you give the more you will
receive - if your true intention is to create
happiness. Whenever you meet someone you can
silently give them happiness, joy and laughter.
The Law of Karma or Cause and
Effect
"Every action generates a force of energy that
returns to us in like kind...what we sow is what we
reap. And when we choose actions that bring
happiness and success to others, the fruit of our
karma is happiness and success."
" When you make any choice -- any
choice at all ---you can ask yourself two things:
First of all what are the consequences of this
choice that I am making? In your heart you will
immediately know what these are. Secondly, will this
choice that I am making now bring happiness to me
and to those around me? If the answer is yes then go
ahead with that choice. If the answer is no, if that
choice brings distress either to you or to those
around you, then don't make that choice. It is as
simple as that."
The Law of Least Effort
"Attention to ego consumes the
greatest amount of energy." Why do you think birds
fly effortlessly? Maybe it is because they spend no
energy on judgment or criticism - feelings of the
ego. "There are three components of the Law of Least
Effort. 1.) The commitment to accept people, events,
situations and circumstances as they occur. Don't
struggle against the moment. 2.) Responsibility -
meaning not blaming anyone or anything for your
situation, including yourself. Have a creative
response to this situation as it is now. This moment
is as it should be. 3.) Defenselessness - you have
relinquished the need to convince or persuade others
of your points of view. Anytime you face resistance,
recognize that if you force the situation, the
resistance will only increase. If you stop fighting
and resisting you will fully experience the present
which is a gift."
"When you remain open to all points of view---not
rigidly attached to only one---your dreams and
desires will flow with nature's desires. Then you
can release your intentions, without attachment, and
just wait for the appropriate season for your
desires to blossom into reality. You can be sure
that when the season is right, your desires will
manifest. This is The Law of Least Effort"
The Law of Intention and Desire
It seems to me the key is
to recognize that what causes the desire is the ego
and the goal is to become desireless. That is not to
diminish intent and desire as those energies are
part of who we are. The key is to plant the seed of
intent and let God develop the seed on God's
timetable.
When you plant the seed of intent plant "one-pointed
intention that is unbending....hold your attention
to the intended outcome with such unbending purpose
that you absolutely refuse to allow obstacles to
consume and diffuse the focused quality of your
attention. There is a total and complete exclusion
of all obstacles from your consciousness. You are
able to maintain an unshakable serenity, while being
committed to your goal with intense passion. This is
the power of detached awareness and one-pointed
focused intention simultaneously.
How Do You Do This? Deepak answers
this question as follows:
Slip into the gap: center yourself on that silent
space between thoughts, to go to the silence- that
level of Being which is your essential state.
Established in that state of Being release your
intentions and desires. When you are in the gap
there is no gap, there is no thought, there is no
intention, but as you come out of the gap - at that
junction between the gap and a thought- introduce
the intention." You are planting the seed.
Remain in the state of self -
referral which means to remain established in the
awareness of your true Self - your spirit. Don't
look at yourself through the eyes of the outside
world or allow yourself to be influenced by the
opinions and criticisms of others.
Relinquish your attachment to the
outcome. Enjoy every moment in the journey of your
life even if you do not know he outcome.
Let the universe handle the details.
Your intentions and your desires, when released in
the gap, have infinite organizing power. Trust that
infinite organizing power of intention to
orchestrate all of the details for you.
The Law of Detachment
This law says that in order to
acquire anything in the physical universe, you have
to relinquish your attachment to it. This does not
mean you give up the intention to create your
desire. You don't give up the intention, and you
don't give up the desire. You give up your
attachment to the result.
True wealth consciousness it the
ability to have anything you want, anytime you want,
and with the least effort. To be grounded in this
experience you have to be grounded in the wisdom of
uncertainty. In this uncertainty, you will find the
freedom to create anything you want.
It is important to understand that
Deepak is referring to the global definition of
wealth consciousness and not a limited definition
that many often define as monetary wealth. Think of
it this way, what good is it to being monetarily
wealthy, if you are sick, if you are creating
dysfunctional relationships or if you are not happy.
The significant challenge is to to on point with
your intention while not being attached to the
outcome. For many of us that requires some work to
erase the memories of how we thought all of this
works.
"Today I will step into the field of
all possibilities and anticipate the excitement that
can occur when I remain open to an infinity of
choices. When I step into the field of all
possibilities, I will experience all the fun,
adventure, magic and mystery of life."
The Law of Dharma or Purpose In
Life
As I was preparing to summarize this last law, I
noticed on the webpage at Mystic - I Stand For God
the following message from the Universe:
A Note From The Universe
The real reason you
chose
to be here – your purpose and mission in life –
Was to simply be who you now are.
Good reason.

"There Are No
Coincidences" I think that came from Wayne Dyer.
From Deepak:
Everyone has a purpose in life..a unique gift or
special talent to give to others. And when we blend
this unique talent with service to others, we
experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own
spirit, which is the ultimate goal of all goals.
How do you know what
that is - that unique talent? One way is for when
you are doing it, you lose complete track of time.
When you combine the ability to express your unique
talent with service to humanity, then you make full
use of the Law of Dharma. And coupled with the field
of pure potentiality, there is no way you will not
have access to unlimited abundance, because that is
the real way abundance is achieved.
How can I help? Rather
than What is in it for me?
You have heard it before: if money was no concern
and you had all the time and money in the world,
what would you do?
What Is Next?
I am thinking of continuing Spirit Expressing with a
focus on the creativity and prosperity path. It
seems to me that this would be a 14 week program.
This idea will be discussed the week of October 1,
2007.
