Path 5: Complimentary Material For Path 5: Let
Go and Let God
The
Law of Intension and Desire is the 5th Law of the
Seven Laws of Spiritual Success by Deepak Chopra.
There is no coincidence that Deepak's fifth chapter
coincides with our fifth session where we go deeper
in our understanding of the Path 5 that Joan titles
Individual Discipline and Will. There is no
coincidence that Deepak writes "Not only is the
human nervous system capable of becoming aware
of the information and energy of its own quantum
field, but because human consciousness is infinitely
flexible through the wonderful nervous system, you
are able to consciously change the informational
content that gives rise to your physical body. You
can consciously change the energy and informational
content of your own quantum mechanical body, and
therefore influence the energy and informational
content of your extended body - you environment,
your world -- and cause things to manifest in it."
It is no coincidence that Bruce
Lipton, in his book The Biology of Belief
demonstrates the scientific evidence that our
environment is what changes our cells and the number
one energy factor that influences our environment is
thought.
Now we come back to a foundation principle: as we
become closer to God, the God within all of us, then
it is God's wisdom and understanding (limitless)
that is our thought and the cells within us and in
our extended self which is the Universe respond to
our thoughts. Since God has no limitations, when our
physical self becomes one with God, we have no
limitations. Jesus Christ turned water into wine.
Personally I would have preferred single malt
scotch, but let's go with the idea that Jesus was
demonstrating what we are capable of becoming.
Many people and actually I believe nearly everyone
listens to their ego that is saying "no way"!
That is OK. There is no coincidences surrounding the
books and tapes that have found their way to me.
There are no coincidences surrounding a group of
people coming together each week and going deeper
toward being one with God. There are no coincidences
surrounding more and more people finding this
material and beginning to changer their environment
and beginning to manifest an increasing number of
moments of bliss.
The Law of Intention and Desire
(From the book Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by
Deepak Chopra)
At the level of the Field called the
quantum field by science there is only energy and
information. This is the level of pure consciousness
or pure potentiality. This field is influenced by
intension and desire.
The only difference between us in the physical plane
and a tree is energy and information. The cells of a
tree and the cells of a human are made up of the
same material. (Notice I didn't say the cells are
the same)
" I am that,
you are that, all this is that, and that is all
there is."
Your body is not separate from the
quantum field and the universe. The human
consciousness is infinitely flexible through the
nervous system of the human body. Remember it is the
informational content of the Field that gives rise
to your physical body. Not only is the human nervous
system capable of becoming aware of the
information and energy of its own quantum field, but
because human consciousness is infinitely flexible
through the wonderful nervous system, you are able
to consciously change the informational content that
gives rise to your physical body. You can
consciously change the energy and informational
content of your own quantum mechanical body, and
therefore influence the energy and informational
content of your extended body - you environment,
your world -- and cause things to manifest in it."
Conscious change is brought about by
the two qualities inherent in consciousness:
attention and intention. (Is it true for you like it
is for me that most of my attention is not
controlled. Most of my attention is a series of
thoughts that might seem to be directed but in
reality are pretty random. In session 4 we discussed
living your life as if everything you want was
already here. The fact is everything we want is
already here we have simply not focused our
attention and intention on what we want to manifest.
Robert Scheinfeld in his book "Busting Loose From
The Money Game" advises reclaiming the power we
assign to events and situations that we have already
created. "I am the presence and power of God
creating this. This is not real. It is completely
made up. This is a creation of my Consciousness. I
reclaim the power from this creation NOW. As I
reclaim this power, I feel it coming back to me. As
I feel the surge of power, coming back to me, I feel
myself expanding more and more and expressing more
and more of who I really am in my Human Experience.
I am the presence and power of God. Finally fully
appreciate how amazing you had to be to create this
and convince yourself it was real, how amazing the
creation was and how beautifully it served you."
When do you use this ? Anytime you are
uncomfortable. Opposite of reclaiming power is
appreciation. For example while you could reclaim
the power used in creating a sunset, why would you
want to? )
For me this all ties to our belief system. Members
of Unity believe God is in all of us and everything
around us. I believe that and all of this material
has come together in support of that belief which
further helps my belief and then there are more
people, more books and then my belief is even
stronger and it goes on and on which is wonderful.
Now if we can literally manifest whatever we want
(and we can) then why don't we? I know I am
not very good yet of living the principles of
intention, desire and attention. Deepak summarizes
this very well "Intention is the real power behind
the desire. Intent alone is very powerful, because
intent is desire without attachment to the outcome.
Desire alone is not weak, because desire in most
people is attention with attachment. ....Intention
combined with detachment leads to life-centered,
present moment awareness. And when action is
performed in present-moment awareness, it is most
effective. Your intent if for the future, but your
attention is in the present. As long as your
attention is in the present, then your intent for
the future will manifest, because the future is
created in the present. You must accept the present
as is . Accept the present and intend the future.
The future is always something you can create
through detached intention, but you should never
struggle against the present.
The past, present and future are all properties of
consciousness. The past is recollection, memory; the
future is anticipation the present is awareness.
Therefore time is the movement of thought. Both the
past and the future are born in the imagination;
only the present, which is awareness, is real and
eternal.
If you have life - centered, present-moment
awareness, then the imaginary obstacles - which are
more than ninety percent of perceived obstacles -
disintegrate and disappear. The remaining 5-10% of
perceived obstacles can be transmuted into
opportunities through one-pointed intention or
unbending fixity of purpose.
You can manifest anything you desire. You can still
get results through effort and trying, but at a cost
of stress, heart attacks and the compromised
function of your immune system. It is better to
execute the following five steps in the Law of
Intention and Desire:
1. Slip into the gap - the silent
space between thoughts - your essence
2. In the space release your
intentions and desires so have your intentions
defined before you go into the silence. Do not be
attached to the outcome. Let God define how your
intention is manifest.
3. Remain in the state of Self -
Referral - the awareness of your true Self - your
spirit, your connection to God. Avoid being
influenced by the opinions of others.
4. Relinquish your attachment to the
outcome mean a rigid attachment to a specific result
and living in the wisdom of uncertainty. It means
enjoying every moment in the journey of your life,
even if you don't know the outcome.
5. Let the Universe handle the
details. Your intentions and desires when released
into the gap have infinite organizing power. Trust
God to organize the details.
Make a list of your desires. Carry
them with you wherever you go. Look at this list
before you go into silence and meditation. Look at
them when you go to sleep and when you wake up in
the morning."
We do not have the time in this
session to go deeper. Again, we end with
Corinthians 13:
Though I speak with the tongues of
men and of angels, but have not love, I have become
nothing more than sounding brass or a clanging
cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and
understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and
though I have all faith, so that I could remove
mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor,
and although I give my body to be burned but have
not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and it is kind; love does not
envy; love does not parade itself; it is not puffed
up; love does not behave rudely; does not seek its
own; is not provoked; think no evil; love does not
rejoice in iniquity; but rejoices in the truth; love
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all
things, endures all things.
Love never fails: but where there are prophecies,
they will fail, where there are tongues, they will
cease, where the is knowledge it will vanish away.
For we know in part and we prophecy in part. But
when that which is perfect has come then that which
is part will be done away.
When I was child, I spoke as a child I understood as
a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a
man, I put away childish things.
For now we see dimly in a mirror, dimly but then
face to face. Now I know in part but then I shall
know just as I am also known.
And now abide faith, hope , love, these three; but
the greatest of these is love.
